אִירָאm. (אור, cmp. חור) white substance, undyed wool or cotton. Sabb.11b; (Tosef. ib. I, 8 missing). Ib. 79a דוגמא לא׳ a sample color for the wool (given to the dyer).Pl. אִירִין. B. Kam. 119b, the remnants of wool in the hands of the dyer. (R. Hanan. reads אִידָּא q. v. Tosef.Kel.B. Bath. I, 4 אִירָה; Kel. XXI, 1 עִירָה.
